A Little Bit Of Magic
Carlos first learned of the very unscientific methods of magic on a Tuesday.
The day had been unusually clear and sunny- made even more-so when Cecil Palmer came waltzing into the lab, waving absently at a few scientists as he trilled, “Carloooos~”
The radio host either didn’t hear or didn’t care about the other researcher’s snickering, good-natured though it was, completely focused on the man who was striding- as well as he could, anyway, it was hard to stride with your arms full of mandatory paperwork- from the back room as fast as he could.

The Mysterious Mystery of the Machine
The dust lay heavy in the air
No human soul had trodden there
For years the gears had lain in darkness
Left alone without a care
Rust lay thick upon the ancient
Strange yet silent in its aching
So much strength disguised
As destroyed scrap and tear.
Nothing living lay here-
Yet!
Did it?
'Neath the rusty set?
Breaking out of normal ways
Not a machine from ordinary days
Even in the dusty haze
It lies waiting for glory days
What's this?
A bolt long locked has shifted
Creaking, shrieking it is lifted
Will this machine wait yet a thousand long years
